With both co-founders having been caught wearing prototype models in recent weeks, Google has released the first test video showing footage shot using the company’s innovative new Project Glass eyewear.

Showing off the 720p HD video recording capabilities of the augmented reality glasses, the first Google Project Glass demo video gives a first-person view of a short spell of trampoline-based backflipping frivolity.

Popping up on the company’s social network, Google+, the new video was accompanied by the comment: “This one makes us a little queasy, but our prototype nailed what it's like to be on a trampoline."

A futuristic gadget which was first introduced into the public domain last month, Google’s Project Glass is set to introduce a bevy of groundbreaking new augmented reality features to consumers in the near future with heads-up weather forecasts, calendar alerts, message notifications and contact details lining up alongside an inbuilt camera.

Earlier this week Google co-founder and CEO Larry Page donned a development pair of Google Glass eyewear whilst giving a talk in the UK, using a physical button on the glasses’ arm to capture a photo of the audience.

"These are obviously Google Glass,” Page said whilst addressing the crowd. “It's only Glass because it's only on one side.”

He added: "It's still in a bit of an early stage but I'm really excited to be able to have one. And to have it working. … It doesn't yet show me all of your names, but I'm really glad that you're all here."
