Amazon-owned LOVEFiLM hits back at Netflix with exclusive deal
LOVEFiLM has just struck a multi-year exclusive contract with NBC Universal which will see the streaming service gain exclusive access to the huge library of Universal films available.
The deal will give LOVEFiLM customers exclusive access to titles such as Kick-Ass, American Reunion and Senna. This is the latest in a string of exlusive contracts that Amazon's company has managed to bag including deals with Studio Canal, Warner Bros and Sony Pictures.
It'll be a particular blow to Netflix who, since entering the UK market, have impressed with compatibility over a wide range of devices including a Windows Phone app.
The LOVEFiLM Instant service costs £4.99 and gives users instant streaming access to their entire library of online content and lets you use the service via Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Sony PlayStation 3 and Apple iPad.
