First model specs already confirmed

The Panasonic Eluga has been confirmed as the first smartphone that Panasonic will launch in Europe and will come touting a 4.3 inch screen and with an Ice Cream Sandwich update set for Summer.

Announced today the Eluga will be Panasonic's first smartphone for the European market in some time and will be arriving with a 'lifeproof'.

Panasonic Eluga Specs

The Eluga will sport a 4.3 OLED qHD screen, it'll also feature a super-slim D-shaped design which is definitely in keeping with the current trends as demonstrated by the slinky Samsung Galaxy S2.

That super-slim design will also be dustproof and waterproof and will come with a dual-core 1Ghz processor 8GB of onboard memory.

It has been confirmed that the Eluga will come running Android Gingerbread with an Ice Cream Sandwich update set for Summer.

No word on hardware yet but this could certainly be something that'll be making an appearance at Mobile World Congress 2012. What do you think, can Panasonic compete with the likes of Samsung and Apple? Let us know what you think via the comments box below...
